From being responsible for projects worth millions in the aviation industry to my own doctorate, I have not only learned to understand complex systems - I have optimised them, transformed them and led them to success.

My practical and academic experience are uniquely combined. I have experienced what it means to bear great responsibility while working on yourself at the same time. I have optimised processes, developed strategies and set teams up for success. Now I apply this knowledge to support PhD students on their journey.

From aviation to PhD - my career

As an air traffic controller, I learnt precision and quick decision-making under pressure. These skills shaped my path into management roles in which I led teams, implemented international projects and developed sustainable solutions for complex challenges. At the same time, I pursued my desire for further scientific development.

My PhD, managed alongside a demanding career, has been a journey full of challenges - from methodological research to moments of doubt. Today I know that a doctorate is more than just an academic path - it is a journey to oneself. Having the right people and resources at your side makes the difference between persevering and being truly successful.

Management and responsibility for operational support processes, including standardised operating procedures, sustainable aviation initiatives and air traffic structures. Budget responsibility of over € 250 million, management of 300 employees and interface with relevant stakeholders.

Consultancy, lectures and teaching on the topics of resilience, reliability and sustainable aviation. Lecturer in the field of air traffic management at university level.

Responsible for operations and minimising delays at the Munich site with a budget of € 25 million. Management of a team of 100 employees and development and introduction of innovative processes such as the European C-UAS planning concept.

Air Navigation Solutions Ltd.

Establishment of a new air traffic control company at Gatwick Airport and full P&L responsibility. Successful increase in runway capacity and introduction of the world's first C-UAS process.

Head of Operational Staffing

DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung GmbH

Development and implementation of HR strategies for 400 employees at the Munich site. Optimisation of capacity planning and reduction of operating costs by 25 %.

Supervisor Air Traffic Control

Technical and disciplinary management of the Munich control centre for up to 100 shift employees. Introduction of a training concept for emergencies and improvement of operational planning processes.

Ensuring safe air traffic under the responsibility of the Munich control centre. Mentoring and training of 12 prospective air traffic controllers and co-development of new training concepts.
